the lovely Fran from Raiding the Scrapping Stash has given me a couple of awards = THANKS!!

My Stamp Spot thursday post

Good Morning!! There are lots of lovely Christmas stamps in the Stamp Spot store and this cute little mouse by Rachelle Anne Miller is one of them!
Photobucket
The papers and the chipboard stars are all available in store... as well as a large range of flowers!
I covered the chipboard with PP and then added some purple and black around the outside to make it stand out a little more!

I think that I am going to have to start a Stamp Spot wish list to give to my family for Christmas present ideas! Although before that I guess I better get a few more of these Christmas cards made! How are you going with Christmas cards???
(hugs)

The Sugarbowl :: Marlene's sketch + zigzags

Here is my card for the current Sugarbowl challenge... it is a gorgeous sketch by Marlene + they would also like us to include zigzags....
TSBB-Marlene's sketch
The stamp I used is a Sugar Nellie - Gorjuss girl stamp! Isn't she the cutest!!
I used DCWV card and Kaisercraft + Creative memories blooms. I added the Zigzags with my sewing machine... using a couple of different stitches in the different sections - I quite like sewing on the card but need to practice more (so that it will be "straighter").

Thanks for stopping by!

Anya Ink :: Vintage look

The challenge this week at Anya Ink is Vintage style... the DT have made some lovely projects... pop on over and have a look!! Here is my card....

I kind of went for a shabby chic/ vintagey/ distressed look (I think) lol!
I paperpieced Anya with some "vintagey" papers, coloured the rest of her with Copics and then I added photo corners to some of the layers to mimic an older style photo album.... lace ribbon and white cotton to add to the look.

Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Farm Fresh Friday ... What! No DP!

Photobucket

This is the card I made for The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday challenge which this week is to: "Create a card using NO PATTERNED PAPER or DESIGNER PAPER of ANY kind and using at least ONE TGF stamp".

I used my cuttlebug to emboss some CS and then added some doodling on at the end. I used a Miss Anya image sent to me by a friend and coloured her with Copics and a glittery purple gel pen!

Thanks for looking! Hope you are all having a good weekend!
For the start of this coming week --- I might be out of action for a couple of days but will try and put some cards up/ pop by your blogs if I am able.

Twilight Tuesday New Moon blog hop

Hello and Welcome... :D This post is part of the Twilight Tuesday New Moon Blog hop
(starting 9am CST). If you got here from Jen's blog then you are right on track.... if not then pop on over to Twilight Tuesday to start from the beginning!

NMTT

I was just going to make a card with just Jacob and Bella on it, but then.... I could not leave Edward off it .. so here you have it.... Bella is with Jacob yet dreaming of Edward. The quote is from Jacob (although I think it's in the book not the movie) and I used the font which is Jacob's handwriting in the book :D
I have used digi images I purchased from the Greeting Farm for this card. If you would like this card let me know as I don't really have anyone in mind to give it to!

I just came home from watching New Moon with a friend and I really enjoyed it :D ... think I might have to read the books again now! lol!

Your next stop in the Twilight Tuesday hop is the wonderfully talented and lovely (yet slightly mad twilight fan) .... TRACEY!!!

Thanks for stopping by please leave me a comment so I know you were here and then I can come and visit you too!

Thursday is my Stamp Spot day .. Here is my creation...

Oh wow! the DT kits this month are fantastic .. lots of scrummy goodies in them :D Which means .... lots of scrummy goodies in the Stamp Spot store! All the bits and pieces on this card are from my kit this month:

It was such a shame that Sue and Debbie did not use the same papers/ image this week... thought I'd get in on the action and use the same papers Debbie used yesterday! lol!

Think I'll sort out a photobucket account as I'm fed up with blogger changing my pics (Yup - took me a while Marcia but I'm done now!)

thanks for dropping in today

Inky Impressions DT call + Ornament challenge

Inky Impressions are having a DT call at the moment!! Pop on over to their blog for more info! Part of the call involves participating in the current challenge at Inky Impressions... Which is:
"to create an ornament or add an ornament to your card or project"

Above are some pics of the Ornament that I made! I used a clear bauble and covered it with tape, coloured with copics and then added glitter glue... then I added Lili and Angelica (coloured with Copics and cut out with a star cutter) + some blooms and rhinestones. I added glossy accents on top of the stars + some extra glitter/ stickles around the outside.
... now we just need to put up the Christmas tree so I can hang it on the tree. lol

Thanks for looking.

Anya Ink :: boy cards

Last week I was VERY slow.... I coloured this cute pirate Ian (thanks to Sue for stampin him up for me) in the colours Orange and Blue but that was as far as I got... so I'm using him for this week instead... the challenge at Anya Ink is to make a boy card! So here is mine.... kept it fairly simple as boys don't tend to like fuss as much.

Thanks for looking!

2nd week of WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE Guest Designer Search!

This is the card that I made for the 2nd week of the WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE Guest Designer Search at the Greeting Farm.
I used Laurie with present again (although I cut her out in a circle - so you cannot see the pretty present this time). It was a lovely sketch to follow! :D
I coloured her with Copic markers, and then added some white gel pen to highlight.
The papers I used are Cosmo Cricket + a sheet of Basic Grey too. I stamped a couple of swirlys on (Thanks to Tina) and also added some Kaisercraft blooms. Oh, and of course I had to finish it with some doodling.

Thanks for looking - hope you are having a good weekend. As for me I'm not feeling top notch today so think I'll pop off for an afternoon nap.

Chrstmas Card with Pollycraft

Well this little elf is one of the ones Pollycraft put out as Digital stamps for their birthday celebrations and I just had to snap them up!
I kept the backgeound fairly simple for this one... although for a snowy image the swiss dots folder just had to come out!
Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Happy Birthday (Twilight) card

I'm loving having a play with these Twilight Digis from The Greeting Farm!
I used 2 of the digis for this card.. the head is Ebony and the body is Joyce ... I liked this outfit better for Alice :D I downloaded the Alice's handwriting font to use for this card too. (Yeah she's my favourite!)

I used my DCWV Once Upon a Time stack for the PP and added lace ribbon, a bloom with a rubon and a rhinestone on top... and of course she is coloured with Copics.

Thanks for looking!
Cool! Check it out .....

Where the Wild Things are....

The Greeting Farm are having a two week contest/ Guest Designer search for someone to work specifically with the GORGEOUS Animal images Marina Neira designs!

I was lucky enough to win one of these delightful images a couple of weeks ago on the Greeting Farm blog. Laurie with Present digi is a delight to colour ... I have used this for my entry:

Other details:
I coloured the image with Copics, paper used is Basic Grey (from the scrummy Lemonade range). I printed off my sentiment using a fun font called "Bearpaw" and skewed the text shape in PSE. To go along with the wild theme I thought I would distress the edges of the paper and add some ink to the edges as well! And of course I finished the card off with a bit of rhinestone bling!

Thanks for looking!

Getting back on track and sidetracked by Twilight...

Well we are back from our holiday - which was very nice (might post up some more pics later this week!) and today I got my new glasses (well new lenses actually) thus it's time to get back into the swing of things.... :)

I am slowly catching up on my blog reading and commenting... hope to be around to see everyone this week!

On the weekend the Greeting Farm had a special digi-sale on Twilight inspired images. I just had to get them as they are so cute! I had a play today and here is my Twilight inspired card....

I had fun with this .... I overlapped the images in Photoshop elements and then printed it out... then coloured with Copics and a few white gel pen additions... then I cut it out and stuck it all together. PP is DCWV and rubons are Kaisercraft.

Thanks for stopping by.

*I coloured over Edward with a clear Copic spica pen so he sparkled - but this photo does not show the sparkle... maybe tomorrow I can get a better shot!

Thursday 5 November 2009

Good Morning!!! This gorgeous little fairy is the Greeting Farm's Fairy Chloe, she is propped up with foam tape to look as though she is hovering over the 4" pink flower. The paper I used is Sassafras lass - Sweet Marmalade range with a couple of strips of Cosmo Cricket's Earth love range . I finished the card off with a smaller Kaisercraft flower and some Bazzil paper leaves.

This post is scheduled again... but I'll be home tomorrow! I really look forward to catching up with you all in these next few days!!!

Lord Howe photo montage

OK, OK.... seems the internet connection will not let me upload any photos.... but I managed to FTP one up online.... if you care to see a little photo montage of our time thus far.... you can check it out HERE

Lord Howe Island

Hello from Lord Howe Island... it's so pleasant here.... really peaceful and everyone is so friendly... it's RUDE not to wave at people as you pass them on the Road, either biking, walking or in a car.... there are not very many cars on the island and therefore most people.

no mobile phone coverage and limited internet availability... we have bought a block of time which has to be used up all in one go... so I'm spending the morning online whilst Guy is out "hopefully" catching a BIG Kingfish or more!

We are staying in Arajlla - which is gorgeous! The food has been Awesome and the staff are so accommodating... you would think that no gluten/ no dairy would pose a HUGE problem but they have been so good and the meals have been delightful! :)

having a few issues uploading some photos... will try in a new post....

A Christmas Card...

Just thought I'd show you a Christmas card whilst I'm not around to make and post new creations... I made this one last week! Thanks to Cheryl for stamping me up this gorgeous image!

Hope you all have a super lovely week!!!
