CHAPTER 32: Journey to the Centre of the Earth...

Down, down, down. Would the fall never come to an end!

"I wonder how many miles I've fallen by this time?' she said aloud. `I must be getting somewhere near the centre of the earth. Let me see: that would be four thousand miles down, I think--'"

(for, you see, Alice had learnt several things of this sort in her lessons in the schoolroom, and though this was not a very good opportunity for showing off her knowledge, as there was no one to listen to her, still it was good practice to say it over)

"yes, that's about the right distance--but then I wonder what Latitude or Longitude I've got to?' (Alice had no idea what Latitude was, or Longitude either, but thought they were nice grand words to say.)...

Hello from DOWN the RABBIT HOLE today, everyone! Today's Oh, Alice Challenge is brought to us by the WONDERFUL Jen!

Now it's time to really fall down the rabbit HOLE this week with this challenge! Your task if you wish to accept it is to create a card with a WINDOW or HOLE in the card! So lets take a look at what the design team has created in their fall down the rabbit hole!

Check out the Design Teams wonderful windowy creations:
# Jessica Diedrich-The Mad Hatter
# Andrea Murdock
# Emma Eads
# Erin Leveille
# Gloria
# Jen Shults
# Kyra Sanders
# Lynne Phelps
# Margie Cortina
# Peggy McCurry
# Randi Wall
# Sara Henton
# Suzi McKenzie
# Tasha Beasley

And here is my card... I cheated a little bit and instead of cutting a window into my card I coloured a window!! This image is Ivy in Window - a digi from The Greeting Farm (drawn by Marina). Isn't she sweet!!

There is no time limit on playing this week so we hope you take the challenge and jump down the rabbit HOLE with us this week!

HAVE FUN!!

Oh Alice Chapter 31 :: Fighting for the Crown

`Why the Lion and the Unicorn, of course,' said the King.
`Fighting for the crown?'

`Yes, to be sure,' said the King: `and the best of the joke is, that it's my crown all the while! Let's run and see them.' And they trotted off, Alice repeating to herself, as she ran, the words of the old song: --

`The Lion and the Unicorn were fighting for the crown:
The Lion beat the Unicorn all round the town.
Some gave them white bread, some gave them brown;
Some gave them plum-cake and drummed them out of town.'

Hey everyone! We have a wonderful challenge today and a prize at stake from The Mad Hatter herself! Jessica will be giving away an {Ippity} prize pack of stamps plus a nice array of 6x6 designer paper to ONE lucky winner this week who is "Crowned" by Random.org!

I Scream, You scream, We all scream for Icecream!!

Good morning! What a sweet day it is as we have a lovely beautifully coloured food photo for crafting inspiration today over at THE LOLLIPOP LADIES!! A gorgeously scrummy set of gelati!!

Don't they look yummo!! I can't eat icecream anymore :( But I can eat Lemon Gelato - YUM!)
But it's been too cold here and having just recovered from a cold/ flu not the best thing to be eating... so the picture made me yearn for some warmer weather and then I always associate icecreams with the beach as when we were young and went to the beach often we would have an icecream there!

Anyway enough waffling from me... oh, speaking of waffle... those waffle cones made us think they could be made from Kraft and so we'd like you to add some to your creation as that little added bonus! So have a go, the prize on offer is a gift voucher from Mad for Markers

Check out the Candy stripes blogs to see what lovely creations they came up with and please give a very warm welcome to Mel Pizzinga our Guest Candy Stripe!
Other Candy stripes: Marcia, Jasmine, Tracey, Chantelle, Mel H, and me...

Oh Alice ... CHAPTER 30: Hey there, Nice Stems...

Just as Alice said this, she noticed that one of the trees had a door leading right into it. `That's very curious!' she thought. `But everything's curious today. I think I may as well go in at once.' And in she went.

Once more she found herself in the long hall, and close to the little glass table. `Now, I'll manage better this time,' she said to herself, and began by taking the little golden key, and unlocking the door that led into the garden.

Then she went to work nibbling at the mushroom (she had kept a piece of it in her pocked) till she was about a foot high: then she walked down the little passage: and THEN--she found herself at last in the beautiful garden, among the bright flower-beds and the cool fountains..."

Hello out there! It's a lovely day here in Wonderland and we are celebrating the summer with a nature theme today! Well, TREES and FLOWERS to be more exact! We scored a GREAT sketch sponsored by PAGEMAPS today that is just perfect for today's theme:

Also have been playing with some new Copic colours so will be mixing up my colours a bit more now!

I love the way other people use embellishments on their cards.. but not sure about when I do .. lol! Maybe that's why I've been steering towards CAS cards a lot more lately!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me!!

Good afternoon.. well It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to .. right?? well I'm not crying but I'm a bit annoyed - I'm still sick :P no fun, no fair! Guy is now sick too .. and poor guy has spent the day sleeping mostly! I would like to sleep some more but our noisy neighbours are back and they are back with a vengeance :P moan! I did go out for a coffee with my big sis but that was pretty tiring, so rest of the day has been spent smooching around... labeling CDs for my new stamp storage system :D and I did manage to make myself a birthday card! LOL .. why not huh!!

I was pretty spoilt and this card showcases some of those birthday goodies... yup.. I morphed my new Flirty Anya with my new (old) WS Megan who I've been eying off for ages now and finally have YAY! AND new paper too! Yipee! LOVE it!
Now I wanted to make a card for The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday .. so I'll explain now...

Over at FFF - this week it's a "RULE OF 3's" ...

Here's the deal: Use THREE different patterned papers and THREE different embellishmnts on your card. Now you can use three buttons, three of anything but you also have to use TWO more embellishments then. Get it? You can have 3 or 33 embellies on your card, so long as there are THREE different types!

So my card??? There's 3 flowers, 3 butterflies on each side, 3 lots of bling as trails for each butterfly - that's three different types right... well I also added some ribbon and a brad! LOL! Ooh... and I have 4 types of PP - but I think one is almost just solid colour... so I just went a little overboard! hehe

oooh.. and Amy did a wonderful curly hair tutorial over at Color Me Copic.. so I thought I would link this up there too.. as I picked up some pointers from her video which I used in colouring Megan's hair here! Mostly I loved hearing her voice. LOL!

Copics used: Face: E000, E00, E11, RV11, Hair: E31, 33, 35, 37, Dress/ Ribbon: BV0000, BV00, BV13, Lilac spica

Oh Alice ... CHAPTER 29: What makes you SHINE? (or SPARKLE :)

`Why, what are YOUR shoes done with?' said the Gryphon. `I mean, what makes them so shiny?'

Alice looked down at them, and considered a little before she gave her answer. `They're done with blacking, I believe.'

`Boots and shoes under the sea,' the Gryphon went on in a deep voice, `are done with a whiting. Now you know.'

`And what are they made of?' Alice asked in a tone of great curiosity.

`Soles and eels, of course,' the Gryphon replied rather impatiently: `any shrimp could have told you that.'

`If I'd been the whiting,' said Alice, whose thoughts were still running on the song, `I'd have said to the porpoise, "Keep back, please: we don't want YOU with us!"'

`They were obliged to have him with them,' the Mock Turtle said: `no wise fish would go anywhere without a porpoise.'

`Wouldn't it really?' said Alice in a tone of great surprise.
